Membership Pricing

The Faecal Sludge Management Alliance (FSMA) offers both individual and organisational memberships, which are open to all individuals and organisations who are active in the sanitation sector. A discounted student fee is also available.

For individual memberships, FSMA offers different annual fees for individuals from high-income or low-to-middle-income countries. Please find our classification* table below to determine your individual membership fee. It is based on an individual member’s country of work/residence OR country of origin. We do ask all members to make an honest assessment.  

*Classification of high-income and low-to-middle-income countries, follows the World Bank Atlas Method using GNI per capita

Country Classification

For our individual memberships, FSMA uses a high income vs. low-to-middle income country classification. Individuals who are based in low and middle-income countries, (those with a per capita gross national income (GNI) of less than US$ 12,536) benefit from discounted membership fees. The ranking is based on the World Bank Atlas Method using GNI per Capita (in US Dollars, last updated July 2020, source). Please consult the list below to verify whether you are from a high or low-to-middle income country.
